Abhayagiri 30th Anniversary - Day 2

Senior Thai disciples of Luang Por Chah plan to visit us from June 22nd to June 30th. In order of seniority they are: Luang Por Damrong Sucitto (61 vassa), Luang Por Damrong Siribhaddo (57 vassa) and Luang Por Jundee (51 vassa). Ajahn Amaro, the current abbot of Amaravati in the UK, and the founding abbot of Abhayagiri, plans to be with us from June 24th to June 29th.

On Saturday, June 27th and Sunday, June 28th, Abhayagiri will host two days of celebration commemorating its 30th Anniversary. Abhayagiri was founded on June 1st, 1996. You are welcome to join us either in-person at the monastery or online for this event.

Schedule for Sunday, June 28th:

9:00 am - People start arriving at the monastery.

10:45 am - Meal offering and blessing.

1:00 pm - Opportunity to spend time with senior Thai Ajahns and meet with each other

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm - Dhamma Talks by senior Thai Ajahns

4:00 to 5:30 pm - History of Abhayagiri slide show with narration (Thai).
