Ajahn Pasanno
July 12, 2014

Ajahn Pasanno reflects on the transformational teaching given to Ajahn Chah by Ajahn Mun – that of being able to learn the difference between the mind that knows, citta, and the objects of mind that are known, ārammaṇa. The ārammaṇa are natural movements of the mind, but the complications of our life come from our identifying with these ārammaṇa as a “self.” Whereas what the Buddha's teachings continually point to is finding refuge in the simple and straightforward quality of citta. This talk was offered on July 12, 2014 at Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery.
