Ballet and Becoming
Ajahn Ahiṃsako
May 9, 2014
Ajahn Ahimsako reflects on trying to get a handle on bhava-tanha – “the craving for identification with some type of becoming” - noting how frequently, even in daily life, we “die” and are “re-born'.” As an example, he relates his own experience of working in the ballet industry and how his mind took to promotions and thoughts of demotion. This talk was offered on May 7, 2014 at Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery.
