A second memorial service for monastery friend 'J' will be held on Sunday, December 7, at 9 am, also at Abhayagiri Monastery. The service will include chanting and the placing of a portion of his remains on a new memorial shrine to be established in the forest at Abhayagiri. Friends are also welcome to place flowers or other mementos on this small outdoor shrine. Following the ceremony will be the meal offering at 10:30 am. In the afternoon is the regularly scheduled Upasika Day, with the program beginning at 1 pm. (For more on the program, visit Upasika Program)
