Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness

Sept. 27th: - "Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness." One thing we can all be sure of is that, if we have come to a meditation daylong, it means we have a body as well as a mind; similarly, that that body will be older at the end of the day than it was when the day began - this is the same for every one of us.
This will be a day of meditation and reflections on the body, focusing particularly on ageing and illness, & the diminution of our range of faculties. We will explore the question of why we presume that we are less of a person if we depend on others and/or can't control our mental & physical functions. Indeed, as Rumi put it: "When were you ever made any the less by dying?" Most usefully we will explore the ways that the heart can be freed from such fearful and ego-fixated attitudes and that the cycles of nature can be integrated harmoniously.
