After a tremendous amount of planning and more than a year of construction, the Monks' Utility Building (MUB) will be finished in mid-June. We will hold a ceremony on July 4 to celebrate the completion of the MUB and express our gratitude to the donors, architects, and construction crews who made this building a reality.

The 2000 sq.ft. Monks' Utility Building is located in the monks' cabin area within sight of the ordination platform. It provides space and facilities for large and small monastic meetings, study and leisure, sewing and maintenance of monks’ robes, and most importantly showers and toilets. A nearby companion building will house the MUB heating plant and public toilets that will support public attendance at the ordination platform and the future meditation hall.
