Upcoming Upasika Day - December 6

Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery will continue with the Upasika Days with a day of community, Dhamma study, and meditation. The Upasika Program exists to provide an opportunity for lay women and men (upasikas/upasakas) to deepen their practice and their relationship to the monastery.

The theme of the December 6, 2009 Upasika day is Sutta Study/Dependent Origination. We'll use the suttas to study the Buddha's words on Paticcasamuppāda, focusing on how this foundational teaching can be applied to our lives.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

11:00 am - Meal Offering (bring a dish to share)

1:00 pm - Meditation, Refuges and Precepts, Teachings & Discussion
