Come join us for Abhayagiri's Monthly Community Work Day (every second Sunday). This is an opportunity for the local community to join with monastery residents in a day of service, usually with outdoor work and maintenance of the monastery. The day will commence at 7:30 am with a work period in the morning. The meal offering will take place at 11.00 am after which there will be an afternoon work period from 12:30 pm until 4.30 pm. Feel free to join us either for the entire day or for any portion thereof. Contact the guest monk for Saturday evening accommodations.

The focus on this month's work day will be on a variety of projects, including preparing the ordination platform for Samanera Cunda's upcoming bhikkhu ordination on May 22nd, painting a new fence in the cloister area, oiling the monastery benches and chairs, and adding finishing touches to the monastery's newly renovated Dhamma Hall.

Please feel free to come and join us for any part of the day: morning, afternoon, or both. There are tasks for people of all abilities and levels of energy. There is no need to let us know you're coming – just come along!
