Daily Chores and Work
Each morning the monastery holds a work period from 8 to 10 am. We have a wide variety of projects that people can help with depending on their abilities. Any help is welcomed and greatly appreciated. On the Lunar Observance and following day there is no work period.
Community Work Days
Outside of the winter retreat period, Abhayagiri has monthly work days at the monastery. A variety of chores and projects are done on these days, with a morning and afternoon work session. Please feel welcome to come for all or part of the day and join us for the meal offering. These days are listed on the calendar and announced on the Upasika announcements mail list.
Offering Services
Occasionally the monastery needs volunteer support for various tasks and professional services: cooking, transportation, publishing, transcribing teachings, website development, landscaping, and construction—to list some examples. If you would like to volunteer your support please contact the monastery.
