Ajahn Amaro's new ebook Rugged Interdependency
PERHAPS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to say where anything really begins, nevertheless, it can be useful to map out a few landmarks here and there. Accordingly, here is a little of the background against and amongst which much of the thread of this travelogue unravels.
Ajahn Amaro shares his experiences and thoughts from his first visit to the United States in 1990 up to 2004. During those years much happened, most importantly, the founding of Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery. This travelogue gives the reader a healthy glimpse into the short yet rich history of bringing Ajahn Chah's monastic tradition to the United States.
Rugged Interdependency is published only as ebook and is unavailable in print at this time.
